Introducing BUDS3: The Next Evolution in BRP Diagnostics
BRP is launching BUDS3, the latest version of its Utility and Diagnostic Software (BUDS) platform. This new system is designed to enhance diagnostics for both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) models across Can-Am, Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo, and Lynx vehicles worldwide.
Key Features of BUDS3
BUDS3 introduces several improvements, including:
A modernized interface for improved usability
A stable operating environment for consistent performance
New functionalities, such as a live measurement page for real-time diagnostics and a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) freeze frame
Compatibility with desktop, laptop, and tablet PCs running Windows 10 or Windows 11
Implementation Timeline
The rollout of BUDS3 will occur in phases, beginning in January 2025 and concluding by April 2025. By the end of this period, all BRP brands will be accessible on the new platform. The transition will start with Can-Am Motorcycles, with additional brands being integrated over time.
Transition from BUDS2
During the phased implementation, BUDS2 will remain in use until each brand is fully supported by BUDS3. Updates regarding this transition will be communicated through BRP’s Experience newsletter.
System Requirements for BUDS3
To ensure compatibility, devices must meet the following specifications:
Processor: 64-bit Quad-core (minimum)
Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11
Storage: Minimum 35GB HDD
BUDS3 represents a significant step forward in diagnostic capabilities, offering a more efficient and user-friendly experience for servicing BRP vehicles.
