Seadoo Genuine Spark rebuild kits in stock ready to ship.
A rumbling jet pump or inspection by removing the plastic cone may have shown up the fact your Spark jet pump needs rebuilding.
This is a common fault operating in a harsh saltwater use, the failure can normally be located on the shaft sealing surface which runs through the pump bearing. The hardened Teflon surface runs on the three seals and will need inspecting carefully or replacing just the bearing and seals could be a waste of money.
The Genuine C-clip that is holds the seals in place is different from the aftermarket version which can break up during use and damage your pump housing.
A press will be required to push apart the pump bearing from the housing along with re-installation, we have known customers perform this with a hammer and a vice at home but why bother when we offer a professional same day rebuild service by mail order.
If you require for no additional charge, we can assemble the bearing, shaft, and nut together before dispatch to save you a job. Alternatively we sell complete built up pumps so you can bolt on and go!
Aftermarket kits are available but due to premature failures we would recommend the Seadoo genuine kit listed on our site.
To disassemble your pump, you will need to remove your impeller with the spline tool listed on this page, the shaft and bearing is then pushed out towards the 2 O-rings on the back. removing the front c-clip which holds the seals in place will allow the seals to pushed out forwards after the bearing is removed.
The latest version kit uses two black oil seals with metal springs and a front defender lip seal. If you are removing the original old style or aftermarket seal system, you need to dispose of the black plastic spacer found between the two seals as this is no longer required.
